Kindergarten PLUS

Applications for four-year-old Kindergarten PLUS in 2021 open on 1 May 2020.

Our four-year-old Kindergarten PLUS program delivers additional hours of learning and care beyond the standard provision of 15 hours of kindergarten per week. These extra program hours each day provide the opportunity for some supplementary learning modules and excursions within our curriculum. Educators have greater capacity to expand on topics of interest to further extend each child’s learning and development.

With a focus on school readiness, our active learning environment includes intentional teaching experiences, child initiated learning and family partnerships within the program. Kindergarten PLUS is delivered as a collaborative team teaching effort between the bachelor-qualified Teacher and the diploma and certificate qualified Educators, who plan and implement the program.

Kindergarten PLUS is designed specifically for four year-olds and operates five days a week between the hours of 7am to 6pm to allow scope for flexible drop off and pick up arrangements for those parents with work commitments (similar to full day kindergarten programs). Kindergarten PLUS also operates during the school holiday periods (except for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period).

The minimum attendance requirement is two days per week to ensure your child receives maximum value from the learning experiences provided. Kindergarten PLUS is for children who turn four years of age by 30 April in the year before they go to school.

Fees

$134 per day per child (July 2019-June 2020)
