Hard waste

Hard waste refers to items that cannot fit in a regular household bin and are usually quite large, such as:

  • household furniture
  • electronic appliances and e-waste
  • mattresses and bed bases

We currently offer one free annual hard waste collection in September/October each year. Additional hard waste collections can be booked throughout the year for a fee.

We recently asked our community whether they would like this service upgraded to two free collections per year (at whatever time is most convenient for you!) Feedback closed on February 18 and we are now going through the responses and will share the news later this year as to whether we will be moving forward with the proposed upgrade
