We provide waste education programs for primary and secondary schools, early learning centres, kindergartens and the community. These programs are run by EnviroCom Australia on our behalf.

School Waste Education Program

Primary and secondary schools are eligible for free waste education presentations as part of our 'Wipe Out Waste' program.

Early Learning Centre/Kindergarten Waste Education Program

Early learning centres and kindergartens are eligible for a free waste education professional development program.    

These resources help centres assess their waste and create action plans. For more information, contact our Waste Education Officer.   

Community Waste Education Program

We run a range of waste education workshops, tours, competitions and engagement activities for the community throughout the year.

These include: 

  • Composting, worm farming and Boakshi workshops 
  • Tours of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) where the recycling from our yellow-lidded bins is taken
  • Tour of the garden waste processing facility where the material from our green-lidded bins is taken  
  • Op shop tours 
  • Waste and recycling presentations 
  • Competitions 
  • Reuse workshops
