Kingston Charitable Fund

The Kingston Charitable Fund aims to make the community stronger and more connected by supporting charitable organisations.

The Fund was established in February 2007 as an initiative of Council in partnership with The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.

Now more than ever, our local charities need funding. With your help, we can continue to provide grants for programs that are helping to make a difference in Kingston.

2026 Kingston Charitable Fund grants panel

The City of Kingston, in partnership with the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, is inviting expressions of interest from local community members to join the Kingston Charitable Fund grants panel for the 2026 and 2027 funding rounds.

Each year, approximately $70,000 in charitable grants is distributed to eligible organisations supporting the Kingston community. These grants are administered through the Kingston Charitable Fund, with funding recommendations made by a dedicated panel chaired by the Mayor and including two community representatives.

Council is now seeking two new community representatives to sit on this panel and help shape positive outcomes for local residents by recommending funding allocations to the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation Board.

To be eligible for funding, charitable organisations must hold both Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Concession Charity (TCC) status.

This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of the Kingston community and support the work of charities making a meaningful difference.

You can now submit your expression of interest to join the 2026 Kingston Charitable Fund grants panel. Applications close at midnight on 6 October.
