Borrow a home energy kit or induction cooktop

  • Borrow a portable induction cooktop to try induction cooking before purchasing
  • Use a thermal imaging camera to identify draughts and improve sealing
  • Borrow a Power-Mate Lite to identify high-energy appliances in your home

Tools to understand and save energy use

  • Compare energy retailers and see if you can get a better deal with the Victorian Government’s independent comparison site Victorian Energy Compare. Eligible Victorian households may also be able to receive a one-off $100 Power Saving Bonus payment.
  • Energy Assistance Program: A free phone service helping Victorians having trouble paying their energy bills. The program covers energy debt, getting the best offer, saving energy, and negotiating with energy companies.
