Check your bin day

Household and business bin collections continue to operate on public holidays and major holiday periods.

There are 3 different options to check your bin day.

1. Waste app

Download our Waste app

You can receive a notification the night before your bin day to let you know which bins to put out.

2. Waste collection map and calendar

Check the waste collection map(PDF, 115KB) for your collection area, then find your bin day on the waste calendars.

3. Search your address in our online tool

Your collection details will appear below under 'Waste collection' after you enter and search for your street address.

We provide a household bin collection service including a:

Change your bin size, waste choice or order more bins 

To request extra bins, change your bin size, or cancel a bin service (e.g. green waste), please complete the change to residential waste service bins(PDF, 343KB) form.

Business and not-for-profit bins

Business

Council offers a waste collection service to some commercial properties such as shops, offices and factories.

Costs for the annual garbage collection are below with every garbage bin service receiving a complimentary recycle bin.

  • 120L garbage bin with one collection per week $535.00 per annum (incl GST)
  • 240L garbage bin with one collection per week $730.00 per annum (incl GST)

Payment options are listed in the forms below. If renewal payment is not made by the due date, bins will be removed without notice.

Please note garden waste bins are not available with business bin services.

Not-for-profits

Council may offer a waste service for eligible not-for-profit groups.

Please note food and garden waste bins are not available with not-for-profit bin services.

Once registered, you can request additional bins or cancel your waste service if needed. 

Bin missing, repair and replacement

If the lid or wheels on your bin are damaged, you can have them repaired. If your bin is damaged beyond repair, you can have it replaced.
Damaged bins must be empty and left out after their next collection before we can repair or replace them within three business days.

We can replace or repair the following bin parts:

  • the lid of the bin
  • the pin that connects your lid to the bin

Bin replacement

Your bin is considered damaged beyond repair if:

  • the body of the bin is split or has holes
  • the base of the bin is broken
  • the handle is damaged

  • the wheels are damaged

Bin missing

If your bin is missing, report a missing bin online or contact our Customer Care Team on 1300 653 356.

Missed bin collection

If your bin was missed, you can request a missed collection. Please follow the steps below to submit a request.
Once reported, leave your bin out on the nature strip until it has been collected.
