National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) is a time for all Australians to reflect on our shared history, celebrate First Nations cultures and achievements, and consider the role we each play in advancing reconciliation.
Reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between First Nations and non-First Nations peoples. It requires acknowledging the truth of Australia’s history, including the impacts of colonisation and the exclusion of First Nations voices and experiences from the national story.
This year’s theme, Bridging Now to Next, recognises the deep connection between the past, present and future. It’s a call to all Australians to walk together and keep driving meaningful change.
