Coffee pods and capsules

Coffee pods and capsules go in your landfill bin (red lid).

Compostable/biodegradable coffee pods are not accepted in the food and garden waste bin (green lid) as they require a longer time to breakdown. They can go into your home compost bin.

For a sustainable alternative there are the following recycling services:

• Banish Recycling Program (free drop off)
• Participating Nespresso stores
• Dolce Gusto capsule recycling program
• Some coffee pod manufacturers offer a recycling service – check the product packaging for further information.
