Remove, alter, or demolish a building (Section 29a)
Prior to lodging your request for a Section 29a demolition, please make sure you have the following documentation ready to upload:
- Copy of Title, no older than 90 days, including the Register Search Statement and any covenants if applicable
- Plan of Subdivision, no older than 90 days
- Demolition Plan – outlining the area to be demolished, including any trees on site.
- Due to the recent changes introduced by the State Government to the Kingston Planning Scheme VC 289, canopy trees are now protected and a planning permit is required to remove these trees. When providing the demolition plan please confirm if trees on site are proposed to be demolished.
Please be advised that any amendment to the Section 29a, after the decision has been issued, will require a new application to be lodged with associated fees.
