Council meetings

Kingston City Council comprises 11 elected Councillors. Council is responsible for making decisions on behalf of the community.

Council meetings are a vital part of the decision-making process. All Council meetings are open to the public and held in person in the Council Chamber located at 1230 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham, starting at 7pm, unless otherwise advised.

Council meetings are conducted in line with the City of Kingston Governance Rules(PDF, 899KB) and are held on the fourth Monday of the month.

Planning Committee meetings

The Local Government Act 2020 empowers Councils to establish and delegate certain powers, duties and functions to delegated committees of Council.

Council's Planning Committee meets from time to time to consider planning matters. When meetings of the Planning Committee are called, these will be held on the third Wednesday of the month at the same time and place as Council meetings.
