Highett Road and Wickham Road will soon be the last remaining level crossings on the Frankston railway line, but recently the project was delayed until 2031/32.
Council is advocating for this project to be expedited, not delayed.
The removal of Highett’s level crossings is urgently needed to create a safer, less congested, and vibrant neighbourhood for residents, businesses, and visitors.
The sooner the project is commenced, the sooner Highett can share in the benefits that Level Crossing Removals have delivered: more open space, better connectivity, and protection of the long-term success of important local shopping centres.
