Kingston Council is calling on the community to help shape the future of local bus services through its Better Buses for Kingston campaign.
Mayor Georgina Oxley said better bus services are essential to connect people to jobs, education, and services – particularly in areas of Kingston not well served by trains.
“We know there are gaps in the bus network, services that don’t run frequently enough, overcrowded routes, and a lack of connections to train stations and key destinations,” Cr Oxley said.
“We’re asking our community to share their ideas and show their support to help us push for real improvements to local bus services.”
Council has identified several key priorities for improvement, including:
“This is your chance to tell us what’s important to you and help strengthen our submission to the Victorian Government. Together, we can make a real case for Better Buses for Kingston,” Cr Oxley said.
