2019 Immunisation schedule

The National Immunisation Program (NIP) as at 1 July 2018

6 weeks (minimum 42 days old), and 4 months
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B, Poliomyelitis (polio) & Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (hib)
  • Pneumococcal
  • Rotavirus
6 months
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B, Poliomyelitis (polio) & Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (hib)
12 Months
  • Measles, Mumps & Rubella
  • Pneumococcal
  • Meningococcal ACWY
18 Months
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella & Chicken Pox
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis
  • Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (hib)
4 Years         
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Poliomyelitis (Polio)

Secondary School Program

These vaccinations will be offered through our school program.  A consent booklet will come home via the child for the parent to give consent.  It must be stressed that vaccinations will not be given to a child without a signed consent card.

Any enquires please call the City of Kingston Immunisation team on 1300 764 807.  If your child is unwell or absent on the school immunisation day, a letter will be sent home with our immunisation schedule attached.

12-13 Years
  • Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (Gardasil 9)
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis (Boostrix)
15-16 Years
  • Meningococcal ACWY (Nimenrix) 

Immunisation history

Immunisation history statements informs parents of all immunisations recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). 

Q.  How can I get an immunisation history statement for my child?

A.  You can obtain these statements by logging onto your My Gov Account or by contacting AIR on 1800 653 809.

Please note:  If your child is over 14 years of age, they will need to have their own My Gov account to access their own details.
