Tree prunings are branches that have been cut or pruned from trees. Residents and businesses with a council waste service can book a free tree pruning collection at any time of the year.
Please note: Booked tree prunings are collected on your scheduled bin collection day. Allow 10 business days.

Collection checklist
- Bundle and tie branches with string or twine (do not use rope, wire, plastic, or stockings)
- Bundles must be no wider than 30cm
- Bundles must be no longer than 1.5 metres
- There must be no more than 20 bundles
- Stack bundles neatly in a pile no bigger than 2 cubic metres (2m x 1m x 1m)
- After booking your collection, place bundles on the nature strip.
Prunings that do not meet these requirements will not be collected.

- Tree stumps and roots
- Ivy
- Bamboo
- Creepers
- Yucca plants
- Palm trees
- Cordyline plants
- Rose bushes
- Grass
- Loose leaves
- Soft or thorny plants
- Boxes or bags of green waste
- Wire and nails
- Items with soil on them.
Other garden waste disposal options
Items can be taken to your nearest Transfer Station, note charges may apply.
Excess garden waste can be placed in your food and garden waste household bin.
You can add an additional food and garden waste bin for a small yearly fee.
