Check with your local charity shop to see if they are accepting donations of clean, good quality blankets, doonas and sheets.

Blankets and doonas not suitable of resale can be donated to animal shelters for reuse. Make a quick phone call to the shelter first to check if they want your items.

Sheridan have a recycling program for non re-sellable sheets and towels.

Bedding and pillows not accepted at the above options go in your landfill bin (red lid).

Take larger amounts to a transfer station

Printer cartridges can be recycled through our Recycling Hub at 1230 Nepean Hwy, Cheltenham.

They can also be recycled through the Cartridges for Planet Ark scheme at these participating outlets:

  • The Good Guys
  • Harvey Norman
  • JB Hi-Fi
  • Australia Post (check with your local Post Office for participating stores)

 

If in a useable condition, consider donating to your local charity store, vets or animal shelter.

If in non-reusable condition, place into your landfill bin (red lid).

Put these small metal lids in your recycling bin (yellow lid).

They are a ferrous metal and the magnets at the recycling facility will pick them up.

Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) tools, including swabs, swab packaging, plastic tubes and cartridges go in the landfill bin (red lid) because they have biological material from your nose and mouth on them.

The cardboard box that the test comes in and the paper the instructions are printed on go in your recycling bin (yellow lid).

Animal carcasses larger than a chicken should not go in any kerbside bin.

Bury the animal on your property or contact a veterinarian or knackery to help you with disposal.

Place wrapping paper in your recycling bin (yellow lid).

Remove any ribbons, bows, stickers and decorative items first as these are non-recyclable and need to be placed in your landfill bin (red lid).
