Historic beach with a long association with horse training in the Kingston area, which still allows horse walking.
The beach has a bronze horse statue commemorating the history of the area, showers, drinking fountain, BBQ, bike stands, a foreshore walking trail, off-lead dog and horse areas, and ticketed car park.
Horses can swim at the beach all year round before 10am each day, although must be first led to the water and then mounted by the rider for a swim.
Horse trailers can park in the Bay Street beach car park before 10 am with their floats.
