The State Government and South East Water have spent more than $70 million building the Dingley Recycled Water Scheme, which will soon start irrigating golf courses, sports fields and providing benefits to other large commercial water users.
Now, it’s time to look at a separate recycled pipeline to service the southern areas of Kingston where the need is just as great.
Candidates at this election are being urged to support a proposed recycled water pipeline between Patterson River and Bicentennial Park. This could potentially drought-proof golf courses, sports fields and other big water users in the southern end of Kingston in Patterson Lakes and Chelsea.
