The existing footbridge connecting Emma Street, Patterson Lakes, with Patterson River Secondary College is an important link for the local community.

However, the current bridge is narrow and does not meet modern accessibility standards.

Replacing it with a wider, fully accessible bridge would improve safety, connectivity, and ease of access for the hundreds of students and residents who use the crossing each day.
