Spring Road Reserve in Dingley Village has a unique history, transitioning from horticultural use to a sand quarry (1950–1980) and later to a landfill site that reached capacity in the mid-1990s.
Since acquiring the site, the City of Kingston has undertaken environmental management with the long-term goal of rehabilitating it for community use. To support this vision, a masterplan has been developed to guide the reserve’s transformation into a high-quality open space for the community.
