We are committed to ensuring public toilets are available where they are needed most and that they are clean, safe and well maintained for the community.
Across Kingston, several facilities also include Changing Places bathrooms, specialised, fully accessible public amenities designed for people with disability who require additional space and equipment, such as ceiling hoists, adult-sized change tables and accessible circulation areas.
These facilities make an enormous difference to the lives of people with disability, their families and carers by enabling greater independence, dignity and participation in community life.
We are calling for increased State Government funding to help expand the number of Changing Places bathrooms across Kingston and ensure accessible public amenities are available to all members of the community.
