We are committed to improving accessibility and safety across Kingston. As part of this, we’re planning to upgrade existing paths and construct a new elevated boardwalk along Edithvale Road in Chelsea Heights, near the Edithvale–Seaford Wetlands.
Currently, pedestrians and cyclists rely on a roadside path that is frequently flooded during wet weather.
The proposed boardwalk will provide a safe, accessible and flood-resilient route that can be used year-round. State Government investment will help support walking and cycling, improve safety, strengthen active connections between Aspendale Gardens and Chelsea Heights, and enhance access to this important natural area.
