For 30 years, we’ve worked with the State Government to buy old landfill sites to remediate and join up into one long, green chain of parkland.
The Chain of Parks is a long-term project that will see more than 300 hectares of land transformed into linked open spaces for the community to enjoy.
Stretching from Karkarook Park in Heatherton through to Braeside Park, there are still some parcels of land needed to complete the chain, and further funding required to remediate landfill sites and create parkland for future generations to enjoy.
We urge candidates at this state election to support the creation of what will be one of Melbourne’s best network of connected parks.
