The City of Kingston’s AccessCare team delivers high-quality home care services that support thousands of older residents and people living with disability to remain independent, connected and well supported in their own homes.
AccessCare is jointly funded by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments and operated by the City of Kingston. As one of the few remaining local government-run home care providers in Victoria, AccessCare offers a trusted, community-focused model of care with strong local knowledge and long-standing relationships across the region.
To ensure these vital services remain sustainable and continue to meet growing community demand, ongoing support from both the State and Commonwealth Governments is essential. This includes increased Commonwealth aged care funding, a review of pricing arrangements, and streamlined compliance requirements that reduce administrative burden while maintaining high standards of care.
Supporting council-delivered aged care services like AccessCare helps protect service quality, workforce stability and positive outcomes for older people across our community.
