The Parkers Road Kiosk renewal works will include roof renewal, door and window replacement, and electrical upgrade works to address ageing building infrastructure and improve the long-term condition and functionality of the facility.
The existing roof has reached the end of its serviceable life and is showing signs of deterioration. These renewal works will help restore the building’s weatherproofing, reduce the risk of water damage and ongoing maintenance issues - extending the life of the building.
Doors and windows will also be replaced as part of the works, helping to improve the overall condition, safety and usability of the facility.
Essential electrical upgrades will also be completed to support the continued use of the building by the community.
Please note: Parkdale Beach Cafe & Kiosk is expected to remain open and operating as usual throughout the works, except for a planned temporary closure from 15–19 June to allow critical construction activities to be safely completed.
These works will be delivered as part of Council’s ongoing Building Renewal Program.
These works are separate to the recent consultation undertaken for the Parkers Road Kiosk public toilet upgrades.
