Reaching new heights!

It’s been a big few months at the Mordi Aquatic Centre, with construction on track to reach 50% completion by the end of the year. This marks another major milestone, "roof on" with structural steel and timber beams installed and roofing material commencing. 

Recently completed works

• Construction of all concrete pool structures, including the 50m lap, warm water, learn-to-swim and leisure pools
• Structural steel installed on level 1
• Construction of the internal staircase between the main foyer and level 1
• Craning in 9 huge timber beams (each 28 metres long) across the pool hall.

Works underway and upcoming

• Continued installation of structural steel to the 50m and warm water pool halls
• Roof installation
• External cladding and window glazing
• Continued progress on internal fit-out and services installation.
