Piling works complete

There’s plenty happening behind the colourful hoarding on Governor Road — and now, you can see what’s taking shape! We’ve installed viewing windows in the site fencing so you can take a look at construction progress as it happens.

Construction update

Piling works for the foundations are now complete, with 406 piles driven into the ground —thank you for your patience while this essential work took place.
Pool construction is officially underway with concrete pours and service installation. This phase will continue over the next couple of months.
Inground sewer and electrical works are also progressing and we’re getting the foundation and base of the building ready, to pour concrete slabs.
The base of the carpark has been dug down, and now we’ll rebuild the layers on top to get it ready for paving over the next few months.

Local school kids joined the Mayor, Cr Oxley and ward councillor, Cr Law to take a peek of the progress through the new viewing windows.
