Construction works on track for end of year completion

Works on the new Mordi Aquatic Centre are progressing well and remain on track for completion in late-2026. 

Recently completed works

• Roofing complete across the centre 

• Huge 150kl rainwater harvesting tank installed for sustainable toilet flushing, irrigation and pool top-up   

• Pool hall change rooms taking shape with walls in, plastered and painted   

• Installation of a large underground tank to help manage and treat stormwater. 

Works underway and upcoming

• Scaffolding going up in the pool hall as we get ready to sand and finish the timber beams  

• Concrete being poured across the pool concourses 

• Waterproofing works in the change rooms  

• Internal services fitout continues with running of electrical cables throughout the building and connecting pool plant and equipment 

• Walls going up in the reception and café areas 

• Painting in the Level 1 gym and group fitness spaces.
