We’re upgrading the secondary entrance at the City of Kingston’s Mentone offices (34 Brindisi Street) to improve safety, accessibility and the overall experience for everyone who uses the building.

The entrance has been closed for some time, and these works will make it safer and easier for our community, visitors and staff to access the building.

The project includes:

  • Upgrades to the entrance structure, doors and windows
  • Construction of a new accessible ramp
  • New compliant stairs
  • Works to ensure the entrance and building meet current safety and accessibility standards.

Disruption is expected to be minimal. During the project, you may notice:

  • Construction activity, including occasional noise
  • Construction vehicles accessing the site
  • Temporary changes to nearby parking.

Footpath access for nearby businesses, homes and the school will be maintained wherever possible. In some cases, short-term footpath closures may be required to safely complete specific works. Clear signage will be in place when this occurs.

We’ll work closely with the community to minimise impacts and will provide updates at key milestones throughout the project.

Thank you for your patience while we deliver safer, more accessible access to our Mentone offices.
