As part of our commitment to improving our open spaces in Kingston, we developed a masterplan for Heatherton Park(PDF, 38MB), a rehabilitated landfill site, to help guide the long-term planning for the site.

Before we can move forward with future improvements, initial remediation works are required to prepare the site for development, including the removal of three inactive gas monitoring stations. Removal works are due for completion in 2026.

A timeframe for the improvements identified in the masterplan are yet to be confirmed, and their implementation is subject to securing the necessary funding.
