Young people across Kingston are set to come together for a vibrant celebration of creativity, connection and community at this year’s Youth Fest, to be held at Bicentennial Park in Chelsea on Sunday 29 March.

Delivered by Kingston Youth Services, Youth Fest is a free, drug, alcohol, smoke and vape-free event designed to provide a safe and inclusive space where young people can express themselves, showcase their talents and connect with friends and local support services.

The event will feature live music from talented local young performers, skate and scooter competitions, interactive workshops, sports activities, food vendors and a range of community stalls highlighting opportunities and services available to young people.

Mayor Georgina Oxley said Youth Fest is a new event on the Kingston calendar and one she is really looking forward to.

“Youth Fest is all about celebrating our incredible young people; their creativity, their energy and the important role they play in shaping our community,” Cr Oxley said.

“We are proud to create opportunities for young people to feel valued, supported and heard. Events like Youth Fest send a strong message that our young people matter and that Kingston is a community where they can thrive.

“It’s also a wonderful chance for families and the wider community to come together, enjoy a fantastic day out and connect with the many services and programs available to support young people’s wellbeing.”

Youth Fest will not only showcase youth talent but also strengthen connections between young people, local organisations and the broader community. By bringing everyone together in a fun, welcoming environment, the event will foster belonging, confidence and positive community engagement.

Young people, families and community members are encouraged to come along, get involved and be part of a day that celebrates the next generation of leaders, creators and changemakers.
