Visual Art and Heritage Collection

This policy outlines how Kingston collects, preserves, and removes items from its collections. 

The policy also explains what kinds of things Council collects (and why they collect them), ensuring collections properly represent and support the city's changing cultural, historical, and creative identity. It applies to:

  • The Heritage Collection
  • The Visual Arts Collection
  • Monuments and memorials located on land owned or managed by the Council

The Guidelines document provides additional direction to support the implementation of the Collections Policy.
