Urban Forest Strategy

The strategy aims to protect and enhance our urban forest, increasing our tree canopy cover from 12.3% to 15.3% by 2030 and to 20% by 2050.

The objectives of the strategy are:

• strengthen enforcement, controls and incentives
• improve strategic and operational decision making
• enhance communication and engagement
• effective partnerships and advocacy
• improve data collection, analysis and monitoring.
