What is Graffiti?
Graffiti is any marking placed on public or private property without the owner’s permission, or that is considered offensive. Graffiti and tagging can appear in many forms, from small tags to larger markings.
Graffiti on Council property
You can request graffiti removal from:
- Footpaths
- Council buildings
- Playgrounds
- Street, road and traffic signs
Report graffiti on Council property
Council aims to remove graffiti within 7 days of it being reported and will prioritise obscene or offensive graffiti for removal within 24 hours.

Graffiti removal kits
Free graffiti removal kits and wipes are available to Kingston residents and businesses.
Kits can be collected from Council’s Customer Service Centre at Cheltenham.
