National Reconciliation Week 2026 runs from 27 May to 3 June with the theme, All In, encouraging all Australians to actively participate in reconciliation.

The City of Kingston is recognising the week through a range of community activities and opportunities to learn, reflect and connect, including:

Flag raising ceremony and morning tea

Date: Wednesday 27 May
Time: 10.30am – 12pm
Location: Derrimut Weelam Gathering Place - 199 Bay Trail Road, Mordialloc

Join us for a traditional Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony followed by an official flag raising and morning tea featuring exciting native flavours.

First Nations book displays at libraries

Expand your knowledge on First Nations literature and culture through our ‘Stories that Connect Us’ book displays at Kingston Libraries. Reading First Nations authors provides a portal to new perspectives, knowledge and understanding of relationships to each other, to Country and even to history.

Kids colouring-in activity at Waves Leisure Centre
