Join us at Station Street's first-ever street party, celebrating our local community. Experience the magic as neon light artist Carla O'Brien transforms the street into an interactive wonderland.

Local businesses on Station Street will stay open late, offering special deals and delicious winter dishes for dine-in or takeaway. Don’t miss out on indulging in a bespoke menu at Comma Food & Wine or savouring hot chocolates and signature mulled wine at Wilbury & Sons.

This all-ages event features live music, face painting, a silent disco and more!

What is Moorabbin Junction After Dark?

Moorabbin Junction After Dark is a winter street party located on Station Street, Moorabbin. The event is based around neon light artworks, winter warming food offerings and live music from 11 to 13 August, 5pm to 10pm daily. 

You’re encouraged to bring your family, invite your friends, rug up, grab some dinner and enjoy everything on offer while supporting local. Businesses along Station Street will be offering special late-night store activities, food specials and live music.

There will be face painting, a silent disco and more!

  • Cheesy, juicy, crispy beef tacos loaded with flavour—slow-cooked beef, encased in a crispy taco, with a consommé dip

Silent disco

  • Saturday 12 August, 5pm - 10pm
  • Starting point is corner of Central Avenue and Station Street
  • Disco will move through the streets, looping back to the starting point to pick up new participants along the way. 

Do I need to book or register?

We encourage pre-booking for dine-in eating options at Wilbury & Sons and Comma Food & Wine to avoid disappointment on the night. Other than that, there are no bookings required. Just come along, enjoy the fun and support local.

Is there a cost to see the neon light artworks?

No, interactive and immersive access to neon light works is free of charge from 5pm to 10pm across all three nights.

Where is Moorabbin Junction After Dark happening?

The neon light works by Volter International will be located along Station Street, however, there will be activations and service providers located along Central and Tuck Avenues.

How can I get to Moorabbin Junction After Dark and is parking available?

Due to limited onsite parking and to avoid traffic congestion, we encourage you to catch public transport where possible.  

Moorabbin Station is located on Station Street, making it very easy to get to Moorabbin Junction After Dark via the train or bus.

What happens if it rains?

Moorabbin Junction After Dark is an all-weather event as Station Street is largely sheltered by the shop’s protective eaves.

If there is extreme weather forecast in the days leading up to the event, messaging will be shared online to alert patrons that elements may be postponed or cancelled.

Will there be food available?

Yes. There are several delicious eateries to choose from on Station Street and its surrounds. Many businesses also have special offers for the event. Book a table at Wilbury & Sons and Comma Food & Wine in advance or, alternatively, grab takeaway and eat on the go while you wander Station Street with family and friends.

Are there public toilets nearby?

Yes.

Participating business Grape and Grain have toilets that the public can access throughout the event. All minors must be accompanied by an adult within these premises.

There is also public access to one male and female toilet at Moorabbin Station.
