Men’s Health Week is an important time to shine a light on issues affecting men and their health and wellbeing.

There are opportunities across Kingston from 5 to 16 June for men to learn or try something new and to meet others and connect.

Keeping Men in Mind webinar with Dr Zac Seidler

You’re invited to a special Men’s Health Week online event with clinical psychologist, researcher and leading men’s mental health expert Dr Zac Seidler. 

This free one-hour webinar and Q&A will help to open the conversation around masculinity and raise awareness of men’s mental health challenges.

Men, mates & mental health with keynote speaker Wayne Schwass

Grab a mate and join us for an evening of conversation and connection at the newly renovated Mentone Life Saving Club. Hear shared stories of success and struggle delivered with humour and hope by AFL great Wayne Schwass and an insightful panel featuring Ben Brown, Tao and our MC, Paul Zappa.

Men’s Health Week @ Waves Leisure Centre

Hosted by Kingston Active, Waves Leisure Centre is offering free ‘Come-n-Try’ indoor cycle classes, swims and Evolt body scans for our male residents. Discounts on memberships will also be available.

Free RPM™ class
An indoor cycling workout where you ride to pre-choreographed music, controlling the resistance levels and speed, to build up your fitness.

Free SPIN class
An indoor cycling class, where the instructor takes you on a journey through different terrain, utilising cycle metrics for best results.

Please note class sizes are limited, no booking required.

Visit the customer service desk at Waves 15 mins before the session time and mention Kingston Men’s Health week to collect your session ticket. 

Free swim

To celebrate Men’s Health Week, Kingston male residents can use the pool for free from 10 to 20 June. Just mention Men’s Health Week to the Customer Service staff on entry.  

  • Weekdays 6.00am-9.00pm
  • Weekends 7.00am-6.00pm
  • Wheelchair and scooter accessible (including accessible toilet facilities, parking, and flat entry)
  • Close to bus stop.

Free Evolt body scan

During Men’s Health Week, Kingston male residents can book in for a free Evolt body scan with one of our qualified gym instructors.

Bookings are essential. Contact Waves Customer Service on 9559 7111 and mention Men’s Health Week to book your scan.

Free pop-up playgroup for dads and dad-like figures

Calling all dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles and other men who play an important role in a child’s life.

Our pop-up playgroup for children up to 5 years of age is a space for you to have fun, play with your children and meet other dads in the local community.

Men’s health matters – free information session

Keeping your physical and mental health in mind, this free men’s health information session is delivered by The Water Well Project and empowers men with their daily health choices. A Chinese translator will be provided.
