Cultural Diversity Week is an opportunity to celebrate the many cultures and diverse backgrounds that make Kingston a vibrant community. 

This year, Cultural Diversity Week will take place from Sunday 21 to Sunday 29 March 2026, and we have several themed events at our libraries, hubs, arts and youth venues for you and your families to enjoy.

'Ikwewak (Women)' by Caroline Monnet

20 Mar 2026 In these photographic works on Kingston's lightboxes, Caroline Monnet invites women who are leaders in their fields to reclaim spaces that had previously been forbidden to their ancestors. These are the fifth and sixth work in a series that the artist began in 2016 in which she critically revisits major historical and art movements through an Indigenous lens.
