Clarinda Library Reopening 8 November

We're excited to announce that Kingston Libraries will be reopening from Monday 8 November, following the recent Victorian Government announcement to ease some restrictions.

From 8 November Cheltenham, Clarinda, Highett, Dingley Village, Westall, Parkdale and Patterson Lakes branches will be open to the public. We will continue to will offer a Click & Collect service. Please check our opening hours.

In line with the State Government's current restrictions, it's still not business as usual just yet. We've made a few changes to our service delivery.

Chelsea libraries remain closed for now, Moorabbin will reopen on Monday 29 November.

Access to our libraries will be in line with the guidelines set out by the Victorian Government. All visitors aged 12 years and 2 months or older and all staff must be fully vaccinated, unless a valid exemption is supplied.

Parking

A large car park in front of the entrance to Clarinda Community Centre/Clarinda Library offers several parking spaces with no time limits. Access via Viney Street or Bourke Road.

Disabled Parking

Three disabled parking spaces are available to the right of the ramp entrance into Clarinda Community Centre/Clarinda Library.

Library Facilities

Return Chutes

Returns can be made to Clarinda Library 24/7 using one of the external return chutes located to the left of the Clarinda Community Centre building entrance, around the corner in the wall facing the carpark. A concierge will be available near the building entrance during opening hours to assist if needed.

Renewals

If you can't make it to any Kingston Libraries branch to return your items, and they are eligible for renewal, you can renew your items online by signing into your library card account on Kingston Libraries' online library catalogue, or by using the Kingston Libraries app which is available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can call the library on 1300 135 668 during hours and speak to a staff member to renew your items over the phone.
