Parking

The car park at Cheltenham Library offers 26 x 2 hour parking spaces. Access via Stanley Avenue.

Street parking is also available with 3 hour spots on Stanley Avenue.

Disabled Parking

Three disabled parking spaces are available in the Cheltenham Library car park by the ramp entrance to the building.

Community Bus Service

Kingston's Community Bus service provides transport to Cheltenham Library every second Thursday at 1:00pm (excluding public holidays) to promote the health and wellbeing of Kingston residents most in need of transport support.

Library Facilities

Return Chutes

Returns can be made to Cheltenham Library 24/7.

During Hours

Items returned to Cheltenham Library during opening hours can be done using one of the internal return chutes located inside the library at the side of the loans desk nearest the library entrance, facing the magazines.

After Hours

Items can be returned to Cheltenham Library after hours using one of the external return chutes located to the left of the Cheltenham Library building entrance.

Renewals

If you can't make it to any Kingston Libraries branch to return your items, and they are eligible for renewal, you can renew your items online by signing into your library card account on Kingston Libraries' online library catalogue, or by using the Kingston Libraries app which is available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can call the library on 1300 135 668 during hours and speak to a staff member to renew your items over the phone.

Computers

Cheltenham Library has a total of 8 Windows PCs and 1 Apple iMac available* for public use with Internet access. Conditions of use apply.

*Number of available terminals can vary due to maintenance that is occasionally required.

Please note: One of our 1 hour PCs is a designated Accessibility PC fitted with accessibility equipment. Priority of use will be given to those who require it.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available at Cheltenham Library. Conditions of use apply.

Printing and Photocopying

Printing and photocopying is available at Cheltenham Library in A4 and A3, Black & White and Colour. Charges apply.

Scanning

Scanning is a free service available at Cheltenham Library. Documents can be scanned to a USB device. Patrons who do not have their own USB can purchase one from the library for $6.

Portable Powerbanks

Portable Powerbanks are available to use within the library to charge your devices. Ask library staff at the loans desk to borrow one. You will need your library card.

  • Storytime

    Fridays at 10:30am

    Sessions for 2019 have ended. 2020 sessions will start Friday 7 February. Suitable for children aged 2-5. Click here for more information on Storytime, including sessions at our other library branches.


  • Auslan Storytime

    Every second Friday at 10:30am

    Sessions for 2019 have ended. 2020 sessions will start Friday 14 February. Suitable for children aged 2-5. Click here for more information on Auslan Storytime.


  • Tiny Tots

    Tuesdays at 10:30am

    Sessions for 2019 have ended. 2020 sessions will start Tuesday 4 February. Suitable for children aged 0-24 months. Click here for more information on Tiny Tots, including sessions at our other library branches.


  • Book Group

    The first Tuesday of each month at 2pm

    Sessions for 2019 have ended. 2020 sessions will start in March. Suitable for adults. Click here for more information on Book Groups.


  • Tea & Technology Club

    Sessions ended November 2019. Looking for computer help? One-on-one technology sessions will return in February 2020.


  • LEGO® Club

    The third Thursday of each month at 4pm
