Main car park behind Chelsea Library offers 4 hour parking spaces, as well as one express, 15 minute parking space at the rear of the building. Access via Chelsea Road.
A disabled parking space is available in the main car park at the rear of the library building. Access via Chelsea Road. Another disable parking space is available near the library entrance on Chelsea Road.
Chelsea Library is accessible via the following public transport services:

- 858: Edithvale – Aspendale Gardens via Chelsea
- 902: Chelsea – Airport West via Springvale Road
Kingston's Community Bus service provides transport to Chelsea Library every second Wednesday at 1:00pm (excluding public holidays) to promote the health and wellbeing of Kingston residents most in need of transport support.

Returns can be made to Chelsea Library 24/7.
Items returned to Chelsea Library during opening hours can be done using the internal returns chute located just inside the building entrance on the wall to your left, before the second set of doors that lead into the library proper.
Items can be returned to Chelsea Library after hours using one of the external return chutes located to the left of the Chelsea Library building entrance.
If you can't make it to any Kingston Libraries branch to return your items, and they are eligible for renewal, you can renew your items online by logging into your library card here. Alternatively, you can call the library on 1300 135 668 during hours and speak to a staff member to renew your items over the phone.
