'Ink About It' Writing Competition Now Open!

The 2017 'Ink About It' writing competition is now open! The competition is jointly presented by Kingston Libraries and Kingston Youth Services and is open to all young people aged 5-25 who live, work, study or play in the City of Kingston.

Using the photo pictured in the poster as inspiration, write a short story or poem up to 500 words (for ages 5-12) and 1000 words (for ages 13-25). The photo is the winning image from the 'Picture This' photography competition run earlier this year. This orangutan comes to the jetty each day to try and take fruit from the passing boats - very cheeky! What do you see in this photo? What story could you tell us?

There are heaps of great prizes up for grabs, so start writing!

Entries close Saturday 14 October 2017.
