Amaroo Drive Reserve Amaroo Drive, Chelsea Heights 3196 The Amaroo Drive Reserve is a long green strip running though Chelsea Heights with a large section of off-lead dog area, a refurbished playground and a long accessible walking trail. The new playground has play equipment for children of all ages, including junior and senior combination units and a rubberised surface, new park furniture including a drinking fountain, picnic table and park seats. Aspendale Beach Gnotuk Avenue, Aspendale 3195 Aspendale beach is a beautiful three kilometre stretch of wide, flat sand, with low dunes and grass, dotted with historic beach huts. The beach is only 200m from Aspendale train station, with an accessible ticketed car park, boardwalk, shower, and toilet, benches and picnic tables. Bonbeach Beach Williams Grove, Bonbeach 3197 Bonbeach features a wide sandy 1.5 km beach with iconic bathing boxes, and natural habitat connecting Chelsea Beach to the north and Patterson River to the south. It is a wheelchair friendly beach with accessible toilets, shower, paths and ticketed parking and an off-leash dog area. The beach is patrolled by the Bonbeach Life Saving Club. George Woods Reserve 58 Governor Road, Mordialloc 3195 George Woods Reserve is a large, grassed space adjacent to Mordialloc Creek with walking trails, a playground, off leash dog area, and boat ramp with car park.The reserve is a fantastic place for a walk, with walking trails connecting through to the Mordialloc Pier and beach, alongside the Mordialloc Creek Trail, or across the bridge to the Edithvale Wetlands Trail. Heatherton Park 1 Ireland Road, Clayton South 3169 Heatherton Park is a large, open grassed space beside Spring Valley Golf Course with walking trails and an expansive troll themed playground. As well as providing a home to a hoard of trolls, the playground has an expansive array of play activities, with many slides, swings, flying fox, monkey bars, mirrors, poles and ladders. Highett Reserve Turner Road, Highett 3190 The Highett Reserve is a large sporting venue and recreation space with three ovals, cricket nets, half court basketball, a dedicated dog off leash area, and the expansive Turner Street Playground in among historic native and exotic trees.The ovals are home to the Highett Cricket Club, who first formed in 1888, and the Highett Football Club, with a history dating back to 1929.
