Dolamore Reserve

Dolomore Reserve.jpg

Dolamore Reserve takes its name from a former Mayor of Mordialloc, who was instrumental in transforming a former swamp and tip into a world-class athletics track.

The area had been a rough paddock used as a sports ground from the 1940s until the venue received the track from the MCG used for the 1956 Olympics and became a top class athletics facility.

The track has seen numerous world records set and now boasts a recently resurfaced all-weather synthetic track used by the Mentone Athletic Club, who have a history dating back to 1942. You can read more about the history of the reserve at our local history page.

The reserve is also home to the Mentone Tennis Club, with five courts and a clubhouse, and a fenced playground with a variety of play equipment.
