Help keep you and your children or grandchildren safe around water. Meet a Lifeguard from Life Saving Victoria for an interactive, visual session using simple English, where you will learn:

• How to be safe around water 
• The role of lifesavers 
• Dangers at the beach such as rips

What to do in an emergency: Learn to save a life

Join a Lifeguard from Life Saving Victoria for an interactive, visual session using simple English.

Participants will: 

• Learn how to respond in an emergency
• Find out about DRSABCD first aid steps 
• Get a practical introduction to CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)

Participants need to be aged 10 years+

Help keep you and your children or grandchildren safe around water. Participate in sand and water-based activities at the beach, delivered by qualified instructors.

You will: 

• Increase your awareness around water
• Learn about beach safety
• Build your water confidence 

Swimming ability is not required. Bring swimwear and a towel.

This session is aimed at parents and grandparents from multicultural backgrounds. If you would like a child or grandchild aged 5+ to participate in the session with you, please refer to the requirements for children when booking.

You will: 

• increase your awareness around water
• develop water safety skills
• build your water confidence

This session is designed for parents and grandparents from multicultural backgrounds. It will take place in the water. Bring a towel and wear bathers or light clothes suitable for the pool.
