Carols by Kingston is just around the corner and is the perfect excuse to bring your family together and enjoy a night out in Kingston.

Look forward to seeing our MC, Rhonda Burchmore, and our headliners, Lucy Durack, Rob Mills and Bobby Fox.

Join us for an unforgettable night with live performances, kids activities, food stalls, community BBQ from Edithvale Fire Brigade and a magical fireworks finale at 9.30pm

Santa will make an appearance and the Kids' Christmas Activity Area (Santa's Workshop) will also be back by popular demand, starting at 5pm.

Anna Mallows

Anna is Melbourne’s triple threat—singer, dancer, and actor. Catch her in the upcoming Australian tour of "Grease," opening in January at Her Majesty’s Theatre. Anna recently wowed audiences in the Australian tour of "Hairspray," where she played “Lou Ann” and understudied for Amber & Velma Von Tussle. A proud graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Anna's been honing her craft since age 3, training in ballet and lending her talents to events like singing the National Anthem for NBL. Fun fact: She's also an official NBL Team Member with Melbourne United.

Australian Girls Choir

These talented folks are not just a choir; they’re a sensation! The Australian Girls Choir has made hearts flutter globally with their inspirational performances. From national and international tours to sharing the stage with Hugh Jackman, they’re the true embodiment of the 'Spirit of Australia,' chosen by Qantas since 1998. Their voices have echoed in iconic campaigns like 'I Still Call Australia Home,' capturing the nation's soul.

Cecilia ‘CC’ Dewar

Get ready to be blown away by the sensational CC! At just 17, she’s a powerhouse—vocalist, actor, and model. CC’s journey began at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) in the Improvising Vocals program, and guess what? She’s now the School Captain! In 2023, CC launched her solo jazz show, leaving sold-out crowds in awe. But that’s not all—she’s graced the stage with some of Australia’s finest musicians and even starred in NBC/Universal’s 'Woody Woodpecker 2' for Netflix.

Jackson Kemelfield

Jackson Kemelfield is a singing sensation from Kingston. This 18-year-old local star has been serenading audiences since his kindergarten days. A regular at Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra’s 'Jazzaoke' and a three-time performer at Carols by Kingston, Jackson is ready to charm you with Christmas classics.

Kate Amos

Born and raised in Melbourne, Kate is not just a singer; she's a versatile artist with masters qualifications from The University of Melbourne and the Welsh International Academy of Voice in Cardiff. Her career took flight with a principal artist debut at the Sydney Opera House in the world-premiere Australian opera "Whiteley." She’s graced the stages of Victorian Opera, portraying roles from Cinderella to Glinda in "The Wizard of Oz." and she's not just about singing, Kate has trained in classical ballet and the Howard Fine Acting Studio.

Lucy Durack

Lucy Durack is one of Australia’s leading ladies of the stage and screen. You might recognize her as Glinda in "Wicked," Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde," or from her roles in Netflix’s "The Letdown" and "Sisters." With a Helpmann and Sydney Theatre Award under her belt, Lucy's talent knows no bounds. She’s not just an actress; she’s also an AACTA Award winner and the voice behind many animated characters. From musicals to TV and film, Lucy has done it all and continues to shine in every role she takes on.

Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra (MoJO)

Step back in time with the Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra (MoJO), a musical gem since the First World War. Originally known as the Mordialloc City Band, this contemporary orchestra specialises in classic swing and big band tunes. Nick’s not just about creating music; he’s a performer who has shared stages with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Calvin Harris.

Ross Irwin

Ross isn’t just a musician; he’s a multi-talented force—singer, songwriter, arranger, composer, producer, and educator. From touring with The Cat Empire to arranging for The Bamboos, Ross’s trumpet has echoed at festivals worldwide, including Glastonbury and North Sea Jazz Festival. He not only plays for bands but leads his own project, "The Ross Irwin Soul Special." Beyond stages, Ross mentors the next generation, lecturing on jazz, big band, and the music industry.

Sammi Palinkas

Sammi Palinkas is a contemporary country artist and songwriter from Kingston. Sammi’s journey began at age 3, and since then, she’s graced stages with her soul-stirring performances. Recording her debut album with award-winning Producer Rod McCormack, Sammi’s singles have soared on Australian iTunes charts. Event information

Where and when is Carols by Kingston?

Carols by Kingston will be held at 6pm – 9:30pm on Sunday 10 December at Bicentennial Park, Thames Promenade, Chelsea.

Kids activities will begin at 5pm.

The fireworks display begins at 9:30pm.

Do I have to buy a ticket?

No, it is a free event. 

Do you have accessible parking bays, toilets and an accessible entry?

Bicentennial Park is wheelchair friendly and consists of accessible footpaths, parking and toilets. If you require any assistance on the day, please speak to the event staff.

Can I bring my dog?

Bicentennial Park is a dog friendly park, however please be aware there will be fireworks at Carols by Kingston.

Will there be an AUSLAN interpreter?

Yes, there will be an AUSLAN interpreter, with seating available for those who require access.

Is the event pram-friendly?

Carols by Kingston is pram friendly and Bicentennial Park includes accessible footpaths.

Is there a map?

We do not have an event map, however you can visit our information booth on the day for information.

Will I be photographed or filmed during my visit?

We will have a photographer present on the day, please notify the photographer if you do not wish to be photographed.

How do I perform/get involved at Carols by Kingston?

Our program is full, but please register your interest on our database to be considered for next year.

How do I get there on public transport?

Bicentennial Park is a 10-15 minute walk from Chelsea Railway Station. 

You can take the 858 bus to the Station St/Thames Pr bus stop and walk 10-15 minutes to Bicentennial Park.

Where do I park?

Free parking will be available on site.

Do I have to pay for admission to go on the amusements rides?

No, the rides are free!

Are there age restrictions on the rides?

There are activities for all ages, please talk to the ride supervisors on the day for ride specific restrictions.
