Feeling safe in our community, or knowing how to make our home a better place to live, work or play in, is important. Kingston City Council has a number of programs and activities which help us work towards that goal.

Community Safety Month

Community Safety Month

Community Safety Month is held every October and reminds us that we all have a role in making our communities safer. Local communities are encouraged to build community safety partnerships by organising safety activities with other organisations and groups.

Public Surveillance CCTV Cameras

Kingston City Council operates closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in public places in the Kingston municipality to enhance safety in Kingston. This page lists the locations of CCTV cameras owned by Kingston Council and contains a link to Kingston Council's CCTV Camera Code of Practice.
