Access for All - Sport and Community group guides

These guides have been developed to provide sporting and community groups in the City of Kingston with information on becoming more inclusive and accessible for people with disability. They provide advice, ideas, contacts and practical suggestions to assist your organisation to be more welcoming of people with disability.

This resource has been developed to encourage and empower Kingston based sporting clubs to be inclusive of people with a disability. The material has been developed from extensive knowledge and experience of the disability sport sector, industry standards and resources available on websites.

Being more inclusive of people with disability gives you an opportunity to attract more members to your organisation, it also helps improve the social, mental and physical wellbeing of all involved.

For more information on improving access and inclusion at your organisation, contact Kingston Council’s Social Development team at community@kingston.vic.gov.au or 1300 653 356.

Kingston City Council would like to acknowledge Darebin City Council for allowing Kingston to reproduce their resource ‘Access for All - Promoting disability inclusion in sport’.
