When Do I need a Planning Permit? - Help Me Plan
H E L P M E P L A N
WHAT IS HELP ME PLAN?
Council's City Development Team have spent many month's developing a comprehensive mapping database allowing you to search specific site addresses to determine whether a Planning Permit is required for any activity that you may wish to carry out on your land.
Planning refers to the decisions that change the environment and affect everyday life.
Prior to any construction or activity on your land, a proposed development ( renovation, extension, additional dwelling or buildings and works etc.) may require a Planning Permit. In addition to this certain uses (businesses etc.) may also require a Planning Permit.
"HELP ME PLAN" has been developed to allow you to search specific site addresses which will then return relevant Planning Permit requirements for the site. In addition, "HELP ME PLAN" will also have external links in relation to the relevant zoning of the site and any additional restrictions in the form of overlays etc.
Please Note: Information provided on this site is a guide only. If your site is affected by multiple zones and or overlays, you are required to contact Council's City Development team on 9581 4131. In addition, if you require written information in relation to Planning Permit requirements, please contact the City Development Department on 9581 4131.
