Kingston Cultural Diversity Partnership Grants Program

Kingston will celebrate Cultural Diversity Week in 2020. Cultural Diversity week is Victoria’s largest multicultural celebration, featuring a week-long program of festivals and events.

The event is about showcasing diversity in Kingston and coming together to celebrate it.

Council would like to encourage and support partnerships between community groups and organisations and invite them to apply for its Cultural Diversity Partnership Grants.

Grants of up to $2500 are available to assist the Kingston community to run events during Cultural Diversity Week in March 2020.*

The grants program is open to:

✔ Community groups and organisations that present a joint application
✔ Events that showcase diversity in Kingston and are open to the community.

Priority will be given to new events that engage the wider community, and different ethnic and faith groups.

Grant applications are now closed. The three successful partnerships will be announced in January 2020 and will receive the grant by 1 February 2020.

The Kingston Cultural Diversity Week program of events will be available in January 2020.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Community Development team if you require further information, support, or wish to discuss your application. We are available on: (03) 9581 4783 or community@kingston.vic.gov.au (please include Cultural Diversity Grants in the subject line).

We are looking forward to working with you to deliver a special Cultural Diversity Week in 2020.

*Final dates are yet to be confirmed by the Victorian Multicultural Commission, but will coincide with Australia’s Harmony Day and the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March.
