Parkdale Yacht Club

Parkdale-Yacht-Club.jpg

Works began on the $2.9 million facility for Parkdale Yacht Club early in 2020. The building was completed in April 2021.

The new building was designed with accessibility, sustainability, functionality and storage in mind. And can be accessed and utilised by community members with limited mobility.

Design is underway for a new car park to be integrated with the Bay Trail.

The building, funded by Kingston Council with a $100,000 contribution by the yacht club, was designed in consultation with the club and community groups and will also be used by the Kingston District Girl Guides and Beach Patrol Australia.

The original club was first established in 1946 and the former clubhouse was built in 1964. The newly completed facility will ensure the club’s future for decades to come.

Combined with costs associated with exterior and car parks works, the total project cost is $3.7 million.

Design works continue on the Parkdale Yacht Club's carpark, however to help you to continue enjoying the bay, access the new Yacht Club and use the Bay Trail, we have installed an interim carpark as a temporary solution.
